“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Accept who you are, be yourself and you will feel a world of difference. “- Steve job
Can you really live a happy life?
Most people think that when I get my new house or my bigger house, my car, get married, win the lottery, then I will be happy. But the reality is, these things wouldn’t make you happy in the long run. And maybe you have these things, but there is always a void and you always find yourself looking for yourself to be happy.
Here are 8 effective ways to live a happier life.
1. Always choose the positive
Sometimes it’s hard to stay positive about a particular circumstance – and no, that’s not a bad thing. There is no straight road in life – sometimes the roads are damaged, and at this time we wonder if it is worth trying to maneuver this bad road, or even ask ourselves why should we? bother to continue?
But you should!
Choosing to see the positive in every bad situation we find ourselves in is choosing to continue this journey regardless. Life is coming but always choose to stay positive because like everything else in life they are always light at the end of the tunnel.
It is proven that negative thinking can only bring down one. Always stay optimistic about life and stay away from negative people. They can only bring you down.
2. Be grateful
How can you live a happier life when everything looks bad? No matter what we’re going through, we have plenty to be thankful for. Whether you believe it or not, you might be surprised that someone wants your life. Starting today, think about all the wonderful reasons to be grateful and make it a daily habit to show gratitude no matter what.
2. Engage in extracurricular activities
Nothing will turn you away from the evil of life better than bringing new experiences into your life.
Find activities that can help you learn something new or something as simple as going for a nature walk with friends, family, or on your own. You could start reading more books, traveling more, visiting museums, and helping others.
There are so many opportunities to volunteer out there. Go out and do something new!
3. Effective Ways to Deal With Stress
People respond to stress differently, but the key is to find positive and effective ways to deal with stress. Work-life balance can be stressful if it is unlikely to be managed. You can choose to add exercise to your current regimen. It is a proven fact that exercise reduces stress and increases endorphins.
Getting enough sleep and planning ahead is essential so that you don’t always work on a lack of time. Avoid alcohol and drugs as a way to deal with stress.
4. Spend time with loved ones
Life is about balance. While you are working hard, also take the time to spend time with the people you care about.
People in bed dying often regret not having spent more time with their loved ones. No one generally says that I wish I had made more money. Usually their regret is not spending more time with loved ones.
Why wait until then? You have the option to do it now, so do it. So I challenge you to do it.
5. Smile more often
It has been scientifically proven that not only will a smile lighten your mood and put you in a better mood, it will also do the same for the people around you. You might not know it, and they might not tell you either, but just like you, the people around you might need it. With the scientific fact, imagine a world where you could make yourself and others happy. The best part is, it doesn’t cost a lot. All you have to do is smile.
6. Have no self-pity
With that, there is only one way to go and that is at the bottom. Complaining about yourself will give you the opposite effect of what you are trying to accomplish. If what you are looking for is happiness when everything seems to be against you, the first way to begin to find happiness again is to see yourself, not as a victim. Never think of yourself as a victim.
7. Life is a game with levels to complete
There is a progression of levels in the games. Level one, level two, level 3… etc. Level one is usually easier, so let’s say you’ve passed level one in your life – Yay! Now on level two. This one is more difficult. When you have the controller in your hands and everything seems lost in the second level of this game, you enjoy playing so much. Do you stop?
No. You see this as a challenge. Of course, you might get frustrated at some point – I know I’m frustrated that I couldn’t find a way in Batman: Arkham Asylum, and I vowed to never play it again. But it kept pushing me – the challenges must be met. The next day I watched an introductory video of the game on YouTube and finished the level. Yeah, yeah, I know I cheated, but hey, I have completed the level.
The goal behind all of the fun is for you to start building that mindset that whatever happens to you is a level in the game of life that needs to be completed.
8. Leave the past in the past (forgive and forgive)
These are perhaps the most important tips for having a happier life. You might be tired of hearing this, but it rings very true. Learn to forgive others. Sometimes you hold a grudge and the person
Life has certainly become happier since I used this mindset in my life. You really should too.
