Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bangladesh on March 26 and 27 at the invitation of his Bangladeshi counterpart Sheikh Hasina. Crucial bilateral discussions are on the agenda of this visit.
Modi will attend three events during the visit and meet Hasina and the President of Bangladesh Abdul Hamid to discuss issues between India and Bangladesh. Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen will appeal to the Prime Minister.
During his two-day visit, Modi will participate in three events – Mujib Borsho, the centenary of the birth of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman; 50 years of establishing diplomatic relations between India and Bangladesh; and 50 years of the Bangladesh Liberation War.
He will also participate in the Bangladesh National Day program on March 26 as a guest of honor.
Modi’s first overseas visit since the coronavirus outbreak. He last visited Bangladesh in 2015.
