(CSE: KNR) (OTCQB: KNRLF) (FSE: 1K8) (“Kontrol Technologies” or “Kontrol” or “Company“) Announces that the Canadian Sport Institute Pacific (CSI Pacific) is partnering with Kontrol BioCloud to leverage its Safe Space ™ technology in the National Team training environment. Kontrol BioCloud viral detection technology is designed as a real-time analyzer to detect airborne pathogens, such as COVID-19. The system will be installed at the Canadian Sport Institute’s Whistler Athletes Center in Whistler, British Columbia.

We have developed BioCloud to help us get back to normal in all sectors of the economy, including athletics and sports. We are excited to share our Safe Space technology with the Canadian Sport Institute Pacific”Says Paul Ghezzi, CEO of Kontrol Technologies Corp.

CSI Pacific works closely with a large number of Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls who train in British Columbia and in a wide variety of sports. These athletes and coaches have trained under strict COVID-19 protocols throughout the pandemic. Protocols include small group training, masking, social distancing, hand washing, and deep disinfection of all equipment.

Athletes identified by CSI Pacific are exempt from the BC government public health order, which has created opportunities for high performance athletes to train, compete and travel in the province. This is a great opportunity for British Columbia to support the athletes and CSI Pacific thanks the Government of British Columbia for taking this consideration. This opportunity is also how Kontrol BioCloud can provide an added benefit to these athletes.

“CSI Pacific staff have worked diligently throughout COVID to help keep these athletes safe and healthy as they prepare to represent Canada at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics,” says Dr. Paddy McCluskey, Chief Medical Officer of CSI Pacific. “We are excited to add the BioCloud device to our safety measures as it will give athletes the confidence that they are training in a safe space.”

Testing the BioCloud technology will further improve the safety of these environments and allow Canada’s Olympic and Paralympic hopefuls to continue to focus on their training before Tokyo.
Athletes registered with CSI Pacific meet an extremely high level of COVID safety by training in bubbles and undergoing testing to ensure safety in and around the training environment. CSI Pacific staff maintain the same level of security for the protection of athletes, coaches and each other to minimize disruption to training and competition to athletes. CSI Pacific would like to thank all the athletes for following the protocols so diligently.

Kontrol, both directly and through its growing global distribution network, has identified athletics, sports and sports venues as an important vertical sector for creating safe spaces.
