Palm Sunday and Easter | Healing Prayers Blog
This letter contains several inspiring resources for the Easter Season and two new zoom group healing prayer time slots offered at the end of this letter.
Introduction: Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount begins with the Beatitudes. Tradition depicts him as delivering this sermon to the multitudes…The Beatitudes are an “inner” teaching, given to the few who deeply longed to know God…
The Jesus Prayer Meditation is a wonderful spiritual tool to deepen your inner communion with Jesus Christ, and with the Infinite. This meditation is a variation of the Hong-Sau technique. Swami Kriyananda taught this Jesus Prayer Meditation to a Catholic priest…
Palm Sunday Story
The story was written by my late husband, Timothy Kretzmann. My grandchildren, ages 8 and 6, were born after he died, so they appreciate anything I can share with them about their grandfather. So I like to share the recordings of Tim telling holy stories with them. Only a few of his stories were recorded like this. God works in mysterious ways – Palm Sunday in 2010 – when this story was recorded – and in this year, 2021, both fall on Tim’s birthday – March 28th. I didn’t know this when I first decided to share this story with you…The story is written in an ageless manner and I hope you enjoy it.
This Palm Sunday service includes the Ananda Choir with Sing Out Hosannana and special Palm Sunday readings. It is just as inspiring now as when the service occurred.
This link contains the Easter Story – told by the later Timothy Kretzmann. The story starts at minute three. The text and illustrations of these stories can be found below the video in the link.– feel free to print them out to read to your children.
Finally, in closing, I am offering two new Zoom healing prayer options – both on Tuesday – 8 am PT and 6 PM – Pacific time.
- 1) You are invited to a weekly recurring Zoom healing prayer meeting.
When: Tuesday, Mar 30, 2021 08:00 AM Pacific Time (US and Canada)
This is open to everyone but I wanted to create a time slot that benefits some of our overseas members.
(recurs each Tuesday)
Register in advance for this meeting:
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
You will then automatically be registered for the subsequent healing prayer meetings each Tuesday.
Consider the above times a new experiment. We will see how these time slots work for people. Each zoom prayer event becomes a unique learning experience. Feel free to bring prayer requests and questions (Brief Q&A and discuss as need after the event.) Prayer requests can be typed in the chat field or emailed to me prior to the session. Let’s see how it goes. I will try broadcasting these events from home, rather than from my office.)
The Wednesday noon healing prayer satsang continues each week. It has been a wonderfully deep experience. Join us if you can.
Wednesdays: Mary Kretzmann Noon to 1PM PDT – Prayers for the planet and for individuals. While this interactive opportunity is geared to the members of the Healing Prayer Circle, all are welcome. The healing satsang lasts one hour, followed by informal Q&A afterward, as needed. https://zoom.us/j/490767352
Ananda Healing Prayer Ministry
PS – If you have any problems signing into the Zoom prayers – please do let me know.
PPS – This is a sad update on a prayer request on a teen boy from India, Udaj. I sent the prayer request to well over 100 members of this group, so this the best way for me to update you all. His leukemia had returned and after his first round of heavy duty chemo, he succumbed to the illness earlier this week – It was very quick.
His father, Kamal, is heartbroken but is also taking the philosophical view that this is saving his son from a great road of suffering that would have awaited Udaj – including more heavy chemo and a stem cell transplant.
We prayed for Udaj’s soul on our Wednesday zoom prayers. It felt very meaningful…We also prayed for the family who all continue to need prayers for wisdom and the healing of grief in the face of such loss… Please continue to pray for the family. Kamal is very grateful for all of the prayers.
