Pakistan’s Inam Butt wins bronze medal in Olympic qualifying round

Lahore: Pakistani Mohammad Inam Butt won bronze in the Asian Olympic qualifying round.

In Almaty, Mohammad Inam beat a Kyrgyz wrestler in the 97 kg category, but the victory failed to qualify Pakistan for the Tokyo Olympics.

Previously, Inam, Muhammad Bilal and Haroon Abid lost their respective matches in the first round of the Olympic qualifiers. Pakistani wrestlers will now participate in the Asian wrestling championship.

Remember, the Tokyo Olympics will take place from July 23 to August 8. They were postponed last year due to the current COVID-19.
