CNN Business launches survey on how women are treated
CNN Business has launched an internal investigation into its culture and the treatment of female employees, reports Steven perlberg from Business Insider.
Perlberg reports: “The investigation was triggered by the departure in February of Annalyn kurtz, an editor in the newsroom of about 60 people, said two of the people. CNN Business hosts digital cable network coverage of markets, technology and media.
“The work environment assessment, as it’s called internally, is conducted by human resources employees at CNN’s parent company, AT & T’s WarnerMedia, a $ 34 billion business including Warner Bros. movie studio, Turner Sports and HBO. CNN HR and Communication Departments folded in WarnerMedia as part of a reorganization last year.
“A CNN spokesperson declined to comment. Kurtz declined to comment.
“The assessment appears to focus on the culture of the workplace, not on an individual’s behavior, according to two of the sources.”
