Manchester United Makes Decision Between Signing Erling Haaland And Harry Kane
Arsenal Midfielder Granit Xhaka remains keen to have a conversation about a transfer after admitting he was keenly aware of Jose Mourinho’s interest in Roma.
Xhaka has already been linked with the exit gate, but was persuaded to stay at the Emirates by Mikel Arteta.
Xhaka continued to be a regular at the Mikel arteta and showed his worth playing full-back this quarter.
Despite this, move rumors continue and Arsenal are looking to reshuffle their squad this summer and raise transfer funds.
Xhaka remains open to discussing her future with the Gunners but for now is focusing on the European Championships this summer.
“Of course, I read the rumors too,” he told Swiss daily Blick.
“But now I’m 100 percent focused on the national team. It’s more important than Arsenal or the rumors right now.
“I still have two years on my contract in London and Arsenal, they know what they have in me.
“When the time is right and we can, can or need to talk about a transfer, I’ll be there.
Mourinho was sent off on the white side of north London after Tottenham showed him the door in March.
It didn’t take long for him to find work, however, as Roma quickly came to call and Special One will debut in the coming weeks.
He will want to bring in some players to strengthen the squad and Xhaka is fully aware of what Mourinho is capable of.
The 28-year-old remained shy about his ties to Roma, but didn’t hesitate to express his admiration for the two-time European Cup winner.
“Honestly, I didn’t hear what Mourinho said, but it makes you proud,” added the midfielder.
“Everyone knows Mourinho and what he has accomplished. Mourinho knows how to win trophies.
“You can now see the work that I have done over the past few years.”
