Quartz Landy editor-in-chief to take on new role
Quartz Editor Heather landy will take on new roles on the financial news site after hiring a reporter to lead Quartz at Work.
Landy will still be editor-in-chief, but will focus on some new areas, overseeing editors for economics and finance, technology and emerging industries, and reporting teams on culture affairs.
She will work closely with these publishers and their teams to develop their most ambitious cover ideas.
Landy has been with Quartz since 2014 and was previously Global Editor-in-Chief and Editor-in-Chief. She joined Quartz in 2014 after leaving American Banker Magazine, where she was an editor. She previously wrote for Bloomberg News, the Washington Post and the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Landy holds a BSJ and MSJ from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. His reporting in Texas won him a Gerald Loeb Award.
