Norwich fire warning to Arsenal over Emi Buendia transfer
Emi Buendia is one of Arsenalmidfield targets
Arsenal have been told they will have to make an ‘incredible offer’ to sign Emi Buendia from Norwich City this summer.
the Gunners had explored the possibility of signing Buendia during the January transfer window but Norwich had remained firm on their asking price of £ 40million.
The championship club, which has already secured an automatic promotion back to the premier league, are in a good negotiating position as Buendia’s contract expires in 2024.
And Norwich boss Daniel Farke insists the club are keen on keeping the Argentine.
“Of course, if one of the best clubs in the world wants Emi as a starter and makes an incredible offer, that could be a realistic solution for all parties,” said Farke.
But Emi is a key player and it’s always our job to make sure we keep the key players.
“It is because of the excellent work of Stuart Webber that we have them under a long-term contract. “It means that if a club wants them, they have to invest an incredible amount.
“ If there is a club that wants to come up with some crazy deals then maybe you will use it to help the club in the future, but as a head coach my first thought is to work more away with our key players. ”
