For about two months, I’ve been putting a lot of effort into my blog! I was in a bit of a blogging slump the year before (mainly due to a physically difficult pregnancy). Then I decided to give my blog a makeover and change my WordPress blog theme. I purchased my new theme on Etsy. This then opened up a whole world of blogging resources to me. I started to find out that there are a lot of things you can buy on Etsy to make your blog look more professional and save you time and money. One thing I’ve been looking at lately is the stock photos from the blog.
You might be wondering, how do you save money if you PURCHASE blogging resources on Etsy and other sites? Well – you save money on backdrops and props. I used to have a vinyl backdrop that I paid £ 30 for. When we were sorting out our house I decided to get rid of it as it had been in the closet for over a year without use. I’m a little sad now because I really want to. I want THIS EXACT and I’m annoyed that I have to buy it again. I decided to buy a blog photo pack instead, paid £ 6.35 for the images in this article and got 11 high resolution images that I can use over and over again! I can crop them, add text, create pins and it’s a lot cheaper than getting the background and then the props. While I will soon want a new backdrop for taking product photos, it was not an obvious investment for me.
I was using archival photos from Canva, I had the pro version so I could use all of their archival photos. But I found their licenses confusing. There are a lot of photos that you can only use in ONE design. And you can’t use them outside of a Canva template. I like the consistency in the photos on my blog, so I decided to buy a pack that I could use as many times as I wanted for my brand consistency. I think I’ll probably buy a new blog photo pack every two months.
My favorite blog stock photos.
These are my favorite stock images for blogging. I did a favorites list on Esty that you can look through. You get high resolution images so that you can use them as an individual image or you can crop it to create different images.
I also have lists of other blog posts if you are interested! And baby stuff. You can see it here.
Have you ever purchased stock images for blogs or other blogging resources on Etsy?
